Home-Grown Innovation

Brooks Tutor, MindOh! Director of Customer Support, member of FastHouston, and devoted reader of Fast Company magazine, has his own innovation manifesto (pdf) now. Here’s an excerpt:

People and organizations are now expected to do more, achieve more, and accomplish things at newly defined levels with virtually the same resources or less. Think of innovation as an available resource and use it to your advantage. By taking an innovative approach we have seen schools do things like: build miraculously strong and involved communities, create professional development programs to students and communities, offer laptops to every teacher in a district or every student in a school, create highly motivated staff and students, revolutionize school performance and the surrounding environment, completely change to best meet the needs of unique student bodies, and create state-of-the-art technology and distance learning programs just to name a few!

Be innovative! Make it happen! Be a leader!
